JUICE – Kenya AB Plus | Ruka Chui

A coffee that truly lives up to its name: JUICE is a classic filter coffee from Kenya with vibrant acidity, juicy fruit character, and an incredibly clean profile.

This AB Plus comes from the regions of Kirinyaga and Nyeri and is produced by smallholder farmers whose coffee is processed at the Muchagara, Gathambi, and Kiandu Factories. The combination of SL-28, SL-34, Ruiru 11, and Batian, high elevations, and deep red volcanic soils creates the characteristic intense fruitiness and brilliant acidity of Kenyan coffees.

In the cup, blackcurrant and lemon meet delicate black tea notes, lively acidity, and a juicy, clean fruit character. Sweet, juicy, and incredibly easy to drink – exactly what we love about classic Kenyan coffees.

The Idea Behind JUICE

JUICE comes from the central coffee-growing regions of Kirinyaga and Nyeri in Kenya. Here, numerous smallholder farmers cultivate coffee on farms of sometimes just a few hectares and deliver their ripe coffee cherries to local washing stations.

The combination of the traditional Kenyan varieties SL-28 and SL-34 with Ruiru 11 and Batian meets high elevations, deep red volcanic soils, and an ideal climate. After harvesting, the ripe cherries are carefully sorted, pulped, fermented, washed, and then dried on raised drying tables.

The result is a classic Kenyan coffee: bright, juicy, sweet, and incredibly clean. A coffee with plenty of juice in the cup – fresh, vibrant, and made for everyone who likes their coffee a little more fruity.
